Flood in Bandung

On Monday, 24th October, there was a great disastrous flood in Bandung. There was a heavy rain in Bandung and in created a massive flood in Pagarsih street. 3 vehicles were swept away by the flood, a Grand Livina car, a 3 wheeled motorcycle, and a red sedan car which is a Daihatsu Charade. The Grand Livina car drifted a distance of 200 meters. That car fell in the Citepus river which was 6 meters deep and 6 meters wide. It was found the next day under the Pasirkoja bridge. The flood caused much damage to the buildings near Pagarsih Street. Pagarsih street often experience floods. Fortunately, no lives are lost in that incident.

Success

Success… What do you think of success? Wealth? Fame? There are many meanings of success. Here’s a story of a boy that earned success in a unique way.
“Billy!!! Wake up! Come down here this instant!” Mom shouted in anger. “I’m coming!” Billy answered “What is this mess!? Didn’t I told you to wash the dishes?” questioned Mom. Billy’s life is full of problems. He has a big brother that likes to bully him, a Mom who keeps telling him what to do and a Dad that always blaming him for everything. Billy was adopted when he was a baby and that’s why he is in this terrible family.
He and his big brother go to the same school in Smelting’s Elementary. Billy is in 3rd grade and his brother is in 6th grade. Everyday Billy is greeted with a bullying by his brother and his gang. “I hope my brother doesn’t go to Smelting’s Secondary (Which is just across the street from Smelting’s Elementary) next year.” Billy thought as he wash the dishes.
Unexpectedly a horrible thought came up in his mind. He remembered that tomorrow was his birthday. Last year his Mom got him a scratchy, itchy and old sweater. And even worse is that Mom made him wear it to school. It was Horrible!!! That night Billy made a wish so that his life would improve.
In the morning, he was waked by the delicious smell of homemade cupcakes. “Mom never makes cupcakes.” Billy thought. He got up from his bed and follows the scent downstairs. He saw nobody downstairs and wondered where everybody go. “Surprise!!!” His parents shouted. Billy was  shocked and happy. They celebrated Billy’s birthday. “What an odd day!” Billy thought. That day Billy was not bullied in school. His exams went well and nothing went wrong. He thought again “Why this day was so wonderful?” Then he remembered about his wish last night.

As the days passed his life grew better and better and his family became very nice. That’s the story of Billy the boy who got his family to be nice. Once again, success is very unique and very unexpected.

My Second Holiday

During my holiday, I didn’t go out of town. Instead I spent my time around Bandung. My family and I decided to go to GeoPark. GeoPark is a recreational place in Padalarang. We decided to go in the afternoon so that it wouldn’t be hot. We had to drive up the mountain to get to GeoPark. We arrived there and parked our car. I realized that the site is very high and I can see a beautiful view of Bandung. There are many rocks that all have different features. We took quite a lot of pictures there. The terrain is very rough and that makes it hard for us to walk. Then the sun started to set. I could see the beautiful sunset from there. It was an amazing sight. Then it started to get dark so that we have to go home. That day I learned that having a holiday doesn’t only has to be a vacation out of town to faraway places but it could be anything, anywhere, and anytime.

Or maybe another prank is to put a whoopee cushion under a pillow. There are many ways to prank someone. I hope that you can also have fun and succeed on your pranks. Hope you enjoy it. :V

Origami

I really like to make origami, so I want to show you this post.

Origami originated from Japan. The word Origami is from 2 Japanese words which is Ori that means Fold and Kami means Paper. Paper was introduced to Japan in the early 7th century. Origami made to assume concrete shapes of, for example, a crane or boat is regarded as origami for pure enjoyment. There are very many different origami in the world. One of the famous and simple one is the crane. It is very simple. I enjoy making Origami. I like it because it is challenging.

Descriptive Writing

I want to show you this descriptive writing that I made. I hope that it can be useful to you. :)

3…2…1…RIIIIINNGGG! Yes! It’s go home time! I went out the gates of school happily! The feeling of freedom is the best feeling I ever had. Finally this week have come to an end. I rushed through the crowded alley and I went in my car. I can see outside the students walking or waiting for their cars to arrive. My car dashed through the busy street. I feel free from the prison bars of study, learning and exams. I feel so free! I jumped out the car and raced to the door. When I entered, the warm and cozy feeling greeted me. “Home Sweet Home!” I sighed. I jumped on the couch and laid down relaxing. I thought “What a week! I can’t believe I survived!” Suddenly a horrifying thought hit me. “I still got homework!!!” Sigh.

Easter

On Easter, Christians celebrate the resurrection of the Lord, Jesus Christ. On Easter, Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. About two thousand years ago, God sent His only Son, Jesus, to live a perfect life, and to die for our sins! He rose from the dead! We are actually celebrating Jesus’ death for our sins and His resurrection.
Easter is represented by the Easter bunny. People make games to entertain the children during Easter. They hide colored eggs that are made of chocolate and treats. Then the children go and find all the eggs! The most important thing that we should do on Easter is to rejoice and be thankful that because God have saved our sins.
